Mesh Stats

Privacy Policy

Effective October 11, 2026

Mesh Stats is made by Montana AI Solutions. The short version: we don't collect any of your data. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking. Nothing you do in the app is sent to us.

What the app stores, and where

The readings Mesh Stats gathers from your nodes — status, sensor telemetry, traffic counters, neighbor lists, ping results and check history — along with the nodes you add and your settings, are stored on your device.

If iCloud is enabled on your device, this data is also kept in your own private iCloud database so it syncs between your iPhone and iPad. That database belongs to your Apple Account; we cannot read it. You can delete it at any time by deleting the app's data in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud.

Node passwords

Passwords you enter for your repeaters are stored in the iOS Keychain, which may sync through iCloud Keychain if you have it turned on. They are only ever sent to your own MeshCore radio to log in to that node.

Bluetooth

The app uses Bluetooth to talk to the MeshCore companion radio you pair with it, including in the background so scheduled checks can run. It does not scan for or connect to any other device.

Location

If you allow it, the app uses your approximate location only to center the map near you. Your location is not stored, not sent anywhere, and not broadcast over the mesh. You can turn this off in iOS Settings at any time, and hide your position on the map from within the app.

Radio traffic

Checks, logins and pings travel over your LoRa mesh like any other MeshCore traffic. Messages to your nodes are encrypted by MeshCore, but other radios on the mesh can see that traffic is passing, as with any MeshCore app.

Children

Mesh Stats is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
